Marketing Job Application

Golden Amane Marketing Job Opportunity 🤑

So, right now, Amane is a webshop that sells canvas prints of nature photography. It exists, and it works.

In order to actually start selling something, it needs to be known. People need to see the website and buy something.

The short story is that it doesn't matter how this happens. The goal remains the same. Many forms of advertising, marketing, or social media activities will likely work to achieve this. If you already have ideas on how to achieve this, you can start right away.

That being said, I will expand in more detail on how I see the advertising working.

There are many places and ways to get people to know our store and to start buying stuff. Figuring out which ways work for us will be a journey of trial and error I suppose.

What we can do:

Advertise

  • Google ads
  • Facebook ads
  • X ads
  • Pinterest ads
  • Instagram ads
  • Reddit ads
  • Other lesser known places?

Post on social media to get some traction

  • Instagram posts
  • Facebook posts
  • X posts
  • Pinterest pins

Google and Meta are the default options for placing advertisements. They probably have the most sophisticated tools. However, I don't like monoliths so I like the idea of trying out different avenues as well such as X, Reddit, and Pinterest. We can simply run ads for a week on each platform on a small budget and so how we like them and what we get from them.

Figuring out how to make advertisements should be fairly self evident I think. The internet is inundated with guides and explanations already. I will provide some pictures, keywords, titles, etc.

Another option is influencers. Reach out to people with a following online and let them show the products. There's this guy Nathaniel Drew for instance, whose vibe I dig, and he just got a new house so perhaps he might be interested in some canvas prints.

On X, I was thinking about replying to major nature accounts in the replies, hoping to get seen there. Problem with organic social media, however, is that it requires constant attention, which I don't really have. I have bursts of attention until I move on to something else.

We also have to keep demographic in mind. We want to gather the attention of people who have money, live in a house, and who like nature. Most platforms provide ways to target specific demographics. On Reddit, for instance, we could target active members of nature subreddits.

To conclude, and to make a unnecessarily long story even longer, if you're just wondering what my best plan is now, it is to set up ads on several platforms, Google, Pinterest, Reddit, X, let them run on a low budget for a while, observe how it goes, and report back.
